Imagining Maria

I commissioned Chris to create a book cover portrait for the bicentenary edition of my bestselling biography Mother of the Brontës.

 
He used the only two images that exist of Maria to imagine her at 38, the age she died. 
It is a profoundly moving image that showcases the depth of his illustration expertise.
